Thinking about becoming a member of Catholic Mothers Ireland?

Membership is open to all mothers over the age of 18 who are baptised, in communion with the Roman Catholic Church, and committed to living out their vocation in the spirit of Christ’s love and service. An annual fee of £/€10 is required to become a full member.

Please note the following expectations of Catholic Mothers Ireland members.

As members, we are called to:

• Pray the Daily Prayer card of Catholic Mothers Ireland for the intentions of the Association.

• Actively participate in the life of the Association by attending AGMs and events that nurture our spiritual growth.

• Reach out to other Catholic mothers, encouraging them to join us in this journey.

• Witness Christ’s love through our roles as mothers and wives.

• Promote the Association within our parishes and communities.

• Serve on the Committee if elected and exercise our full voting rights at the AGM.

The membership ceremony will take place twice a year, with an opportunity for annual renewal. Members’ names will

be recorded in a Register. Membership benefits include:

  • Exclusive Catholic Mothers pin, blessed by Archbishop Eamon Martin

  • Your intentions included in a weekly Mass for Catholic Mothers

  • Daily 6:45am online group Rosary to begin the day in prayer

  • Private WhatsApp group with a weekly reflection from the Mass

  • 10% discount on all Catholic Mothers Ireland products

CATHOLIC MOTHERS IRELAND TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Article 7 – Membership

7.1 Membership is open to mothers , over the age of 18, who are baptised, in communion with the Roman Catholic Church, and are joined with Christ in the Church’s visible structure by the bonds of profession of faith, of the sacraments, and the Church’s ecclesiastical governance. (CC 304, §2)

7.2 Members of CATHOLIC MOTHERS IRELAND shall have the following obligations and rights:

a) To pray the Daily Prayer card of CATHOLIC MOTHERS IRELAND for the intentions of the Association.

b) To participate in the life of the Association through the regular attendance of AGM’s and other events organised for the spiritual growth of members.

c) To reach out to other Catholic Mothers and invite them to join the association.

d) To witness Christ’s love through living out your vocation as mothers (and wives).

e) To promote the Association in the Church.

f) To hold offices on the Committee, if elected.

g) To attend the AGM and participate in its deliberations with full voting rights.

7.3 Members names shall be enrolled in a Register of Mothers held by the Committee.

7.4 Members may belong to other private/public associations during their membership with CATHOLIC MOTHERS IRELAND.

Termination of Membership

7.5 Members always retain the right to leave CATHOLIC MOTHERS IRELAND. This is done by notifying a member of the Committee.

7.6 Any member who has publicly rejected the Catholic faith, or has defected from ecclesiastical communion can be dismissed by a two-thirds majority of the Committee.
